Nepolabo (ねぽらぼ) — the hololive 5th Generation unit made up of Momosuzu Nene (桃鈴ねね), Omaru Polka (尾丸ポルカ), Yukihana Lamy (雪花ラミィ), and Shishiro Botan (獅白ぼたん) — has a new original song, Hyper Jumpin’, released as part of their 6th anniversary celebration. The four debuted together in August 2020, and six years later they’re still putting out music as a unit.
Where the Name Even Came From
“Nepolabo” isn’t an official hololive branding — it started as a group hashtag Polka invented on the spot during an early collab, built from the first letters of each member’s name: Ne(ne), Po(lka), La(my), Bo(tan). It stuck well beyond that first stream, and even after 5th gen member Aloe Mano’s departure in 2020, the four remaining members kept using it as their group identity rather than retire it.
A Song Built for Jumping Around
Hyper Jumpin’ comes from PandaBoY, who handled the lyrics, composition, and arrangement in full. It joins the group’s small catalog of upbeat, crowd-participation anthems — tracks in the same spirit as their earlier “BLUE CLAPPER” — built specifically to get an audience clapping, jumping, and shouting along at a live show rather than just listening.
Six Years of Chaos and Chemistry
Nepolabo has built its reputation on being a genuinely mismatched group that somehow works — four members with completely different streaming styles, singing voices, and personalities who’ve described their bond as closer to family than colleagues. That chemistry has carried them through a sold-out solo live at Tokyo Dome City Hall, a 4th-anniversary fan meeting, and now a sixth year still putting out original music together.
The Visual Side
Illustration for the release comes from Tauta (たうた), with movie work from Gamu (がむ), rounding out a full anniversary package built to match the song’s high-energy tone.
