  • Natsuiro Matsuri, Vestia Zeta, Nerissa Ravencroft, Juufuutei Raden and Todoroki Hajime Unite for hololive Dreams’ ‘Kaien Spectacle’

Crossover units are one of the best things about the hololive music scene, and the latest one is a proper oddball lineup. 怪宴スペクタクル (Kaien Spectacle) is a brand-new original song written for hololive Dreams (ホロライブドリームス), performed by five talents who almost never share a stage in this combination: 夏色まつり (Natsuiro Matsuri), Vestia Zeta, Nerissa Ravencroft, 儒烏風亭らでん (Juufuutei Raden) and 轟はじめ (Todoroki Hajime).

A Five-Way Unit Song Built for hololive Dreams

This isn’t a general release — Kaien Spectacle is a 書き下ろし (kakioroshi, custom-written) unit song created specifically for hololive Dreams, the hololive VR game project. The official hololive Dreams account announced the MV alongside the game itself, making this track part of the project’s launch identity rather than just promo bolted onto it. That context matters: the song exists to represent the game, and the five voices were picked to carry it.

The Lineup Is the Whole Point

Look at that roster again. Natsuiro Matsuri, a hololive JP veteran with one of the most instantly recognizable voices in the company. Vestia Zeta of hololive Indonesia’s Generation 3. Nerissa Ravencroft from hololive English -Advent-, whose low register has become her signature. Juufuutei Raden of hololive DEV_IS ReGLOSS. And Todoroki Hajime of hololive JP branch’s POWER UP era — an artist who increasingly writes and performs her own material.

Five branches and generations of hololive history in one song. The title — 怪宴 (kaien), roughly a “strange banquet” or “mysterious feast,” paired with “spectacle” — promises exactly the kind of theatrical, chaotic energy a gathering like this implies. JP, EN and ID all in one room, and the song has to make that feel like a party rather than a corporate checklist. Judging by the early reception — nearly 6,000 views and an unusually strong like ratio in the first hours — fans are buying in.

    Production Credits With Anime-Music Pedigree

The song was written by the team of ミズノゲンキ (Mizuno Genki) on lyrics and 睦月周平 (Mutsuki Shuhei) handling both composition and arrangement. That’s a lyricist/composer pair with a track record in anime and game tie-in music, which tracks perfectly for a song built as the musical face of a VR game project. Tie-in songs live or die on whether they sound like the world they’re representing, and hiring writers who do this for a living is the right call.

Where to Watch and What It Means

The MV is live on the hololive Dreams channel, and the game itself is available via the official hololive Dreams site. For a project trying to establish its own identity inside an already massive franchise, opening with an original unit song instead of reusing existing material sends a clear message: hololive Dreams wants its own music, its own cast moments, its own spectacle. Five voices from across the company, one strange banquet. Pull up a chair.
