走れシュガー: The Sound and Who Made It
走れシュガー (Hashire Sugar) is bright, clean, and emotionally warm — a soft pop track with an effortless forward momentum. Lyrics by YUC’e — the Tokyo-based future bass singer-songwriter-producer behind *Night Club Junkie*, *Future Cαndy*, and *macaron moon*, who has also written for hololive ID and Nijisanji — and music and arrangement by HIDEYA KOJIMA. YUC’e writing lyrics rather than producing is an interesting mode for her, and she does it well: the words have a lightness and sweetness that fits the song’s theme without tipping into saccharine. Running, forward motion, something warm chasing you or waiting ahead — it’s the kind of imagery that suits a unit called KUUSOU (空爽, meaning something like “sky-fresh” or “clear sky”) perfectly.

CIEL and Sooda: The Hybrid Unit Dynamic
What makes 空爽 (KUUSOU) genuinely distinctive is the unit’s concept: virtual singer CIEL paired with real-life artist Sooda in a deliberate blending of virtual and physical worlds. CIEL is a KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO virtual singer who previously had her song selected as the theme for the theatrical anime film 映画大好きポンポさん (Pompo the Cinephile) and drew 400 attendees to her first VRChat solo live. Sooda, on the other hand, is one half of the singer unit 雨宿り (Amayadori) and has built a following of 160,000 on TikTok through her songwriting and vocal presence.
Together, their voices carry a softness and warmth that suits 走れシュガー (Hashire Sugar) well. The unit’s guiding theme — “清楚・柔らかさ” (“purity and softness”), expressed through a school uniform motif — comes through clearly in how the song is performed. Nothing is pushed too hard. It’s gentle, genuine, and pretty.
